In Friday's non-league game, the Asheboro Blue Comets (Asheboro, NC) football team triumphed over the visiting High Point Central Bison (High Point, NC), by a tally of 59-0.

In their next game, the Blue Comets face the Northwood Chargers (Pittsboro, NC) in a non-league game, on Thursday, August 28. Asheboro will attempt to better on its 1-0 season record. The Chargers enter the game with a 0-1 record after their 55-7 non-league loss to Harnett Central (Angier, NC).

The Bison (0-1) will now prepare for their outing against Western Guilford (Greensboro, NC). The Hornets come into the non-league outing with a 0-1 record. In their last outing, Western Guilford was overwhelmed by Southeast Guilford (Greensboro, NC), 52-30, in a non-league outing.
