Big Spring Bulldogs (Newville, PA) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team tip the host Shippensburg Greyhounds (Shippensburg, PA), 23-20 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Big Spring improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Bulldogs host Camp Hill (Camp Hill, PA) to play the Lions in a non-league battle on Friday, August 29. The Lions go into the battle with a record of 0-1. Camp Hill lost 43-7 in their recent non-league battle against Lancaster Catholic (Lancaster, PA)

The Greyhounds now have a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hershey for a Mid-Penn - Keystone match on Friday, August 29. Shippensburg will play a Trojans team coming off a 42-26 non-league win over Milton Hershey (Hershey, PA). The Trojans record now stands at 1-0.
