In Friday's non-league game, the Bishop Hartley Hawks (Columbus, OH) football team overcame the visiting Elyria Catholic Panthers (Elyria, OH), by a tally of 55-42.

In their next game, the Hawks battle the Ursuline Fighting Irish (Youngstown, OH) in a non-league game, on Friday, August 29. Bishop Hartley will attempt to better on its 1-0 season record. The Fighting Irish enter the game with a 1-0 record after their 37-7 non-league win over Steubenville (Steubenville, OH).
