The Carlynton Cougars were victorious over the visiting Carrick Raiders football team by a score of 20-12 in Friday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Cougars face the Avella Eagles (Avella, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, August 29. Carlynton will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record. The Eagles come into the outing with a 1-0 record after their 41-6 league win over Mapletown (Greensboro, PA).

With the defeat, Carrick drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Raiders host Albert Gallatin (Uniontown, PA) to clash with the Colonials in a Freelance outing on Thursday, August 28.
