Crystal River Pirates (Crystal River, FL) followers went home content Friday as they observed their football squad nudge the visiting Fivay Falcons (Hudson, FL), 15-14 in a non-league match.

The Pirates (1-0) will now prepare for their match against West Port (Ocala, FL). The Wolf Pack come into the non-league match with a 0-1 record. In their last match, West Port was nudged by Lecanto (Lecanto, FL), 21-12, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Falcons meet the North Marion Colts (Citra, FL) in a non-league match, on Friday, August 29. Fivay will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Colts come into the match with a 0-1 record after their 35-0 non-league loss to Forest (Ocala, FL).
