Ohio High School Football - Wayne holds off Fairfield
August 22, 2025: Huber Heights, OH 45424 The Wayne Warriors football squad scored 31 points and limited the visiting Fairfield Indians to 24 in the Warriors non-league triumph on Friday.
The Warriors now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pickerington Central for a non-league game on Friday, August 29. Wayne will face a Tigers team coming off a 45-14 non-league win over Lincoln (Gahanna, OH). The Tigers record now stands at 1-0.
The Indians (0-1) will now prepare for their game against Middletown (Middletown, OH). The Middies enter the Greater Miami game with a 1-0 record. In their last game, Middletown held off Troy (Troy, OH), 28-20, in a non-league game.
