In Friday's non-league match, the host Galion Tigers football squad scored a good 35-6 victory over the Memorial Roughriders.

The Tigers (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Carey (Carey, OH). The Blue Devils enter the non-league match with a 0-1 record. In their last match, Carey was outscored by Hopewell-Loudon (Bascom, OH), 30-7, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Roughriders confront the Bath Wildcats (Lima, OH) in a Western Buckeye match, on Friday, August 29. Memorial will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Wildcats enter the match with a 1-0 record after their 50-21 non-league win over Indian Lake (Lewistown, OH).
