The North Pocono Trojans football team scored 56 points and limited the visiting Greater Nanticoke Area Trojans to 0 in the Trojans non-league triumph on Friday.

The Trojans now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pittston for a non-league test on Friday, August 29. North Pocono will meet a Patriots squad coming off a 46-9 non-league win over Mid Valley (Throop, PA). The Patriots record now stands at 1-0.

With the defeat, Greater Nanticoke Area drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Trojans host Carbondale Area (Carbondale, PA) to face the Chargers in a non-league game on Friday, August 29. The Chargers enter the game with a record of 0-1. Carbondale Area lost 52-14 in their recent non-league game against Lakeland (Jermyn, PA)
