Highland Prep Honey Badgers (Surprise, AZ) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Madison Highland Prep Heat (Phoenix, AZ), 27-0 in a non-league match.

The Honey Badgers (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Chino Valley (Chino Valley, AZ). The Cougars come into the non-league match with a 0-1 record. In their last match, Chino Valley was beaten by Arizona Lutheran Academy (Phoenix, AZ), 58-6, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Heat confront the Highland Prep West HORNETS (Avondale, AZ) in a non-league match, on Thursday, August 28. Madison Highland Prep will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The HORNETS come into the match with a 1-0 record after their 20-12 non-league win over Lincoln Prep (Chandler, AZ).
