Liberty Hawks (Madera, CA) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team gain a win over the visiting Strathmore Spartans (Strathmore, CA), 29-7 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Liberty advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Hawks host Mendota (Mendota, CA) to encounter the Aztecs in a non-league battle on Friday, August 29. The Aztecs enter the match with a record of 1-0. Mendota won 25-21 in their recent non-league match against Golden Valley (Bakersfield, CA)

Coming up next, the Spartans confront the Avenal Buccaneers (Avenal, CA) in a non-league match, on Friday, August 29. Strathmore will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Buccaneers enter the match with a 0-1 record after their 65-0 non-league loss to McLane (Fresno, CA).
