Oneonta Redskins (Oneonta, AL) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the visiting Locust Fork Hornets (Locust Fork, AL), 58-13 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Oneonta advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Redskins travel to Cherokee County (Centre, AL) to play the Warriors in a 4A Region 6 battle on Friday, September 5. The Warriors go into the battle with a record of 0-1.

The Hornets now own a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they host Ohatchee for a 3A Region 6 match on Friday, August 29. Locust Fork will confront a Indians squad coming off a 43-32 non-league loss to New Hope (New Hope, AL). The Indians record now stands at 0-1.
