The New Hampstead Phoenix football team (Savannah, GA), dropped 28-12 in Friday's non-league bout with the host Savannah Christian Raiders (Savannah, GA)

The Raiders (2-0) will now prepare for their contest against Mount Paran Christian (Kennesaw, GA). The Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 2-0 record. In their last contest, Mount Paran Christian thwarted Mount Pisgah Christian (Johns Creek, GA), 30-0, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Phoenix confront the Effingham County Rebels (Springfield, GA) in a non-league contest, on Friday, August 29. New Hampstead will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Rebels enter the contest with a 0-1 record after their 56-42 non-league loss to Houston County (Warner Robins, GA).
