The Rhea County Golden Eagles got by the host Red Bank Lions football team by a score of 10-7 in Friday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Golden Eagles meet the Notre Dame Fighting Irish (Chattanooga, TN) in a non-league test, on Friday, August 29. Rhea County will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record. The Fighting Irish come into the test with a 1-0 record after their 73-0 non-league win over Grace Baptist Academy (Chattanooga, TN).
