August 22, 2025: South Lyon, MI 48178 South Lyon East Cougars (South Lyon, MI) backers exited the stadium pleased Friday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the visiting Franklin Patriots (Livonia, MI), 4-2 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, South Lyon East advances its record to 1-2 on the year. The Cougars host Mott (Waterford, MI) to face the Corsairs in a Kensington Lakes - North game on Tuesday, August 26. The Corsairs go into the bout with a record of 2-1. Mott 1-1 in their recent non-league bout against Avondale (Auburn Hills, MI)
With the loss, Franklin moves to 2-1 on the year. The Patriots travel to Stevenson (Livonia, MI) to play the Spartans in a Kensington Lakes - East bout on Tuesday, August 26. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 3-0. Stevenson won 2-0 in their recent league bout against Fordson (Dearborn, MI)
