Mars Fightin' Planets (Mars, PA) backers exited the stadium pleased Friday as they witnessed their soccer team get by the visiting General McLane Lancers (Edinboro, PA), 2-1 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, Mars advances its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Fightin' Planets host Hampton (Allison Park, PA) to clash with the Talbots in a WPIAL AAA 1 outing on Tuesday, August 26. The Talbots go into the outing with a record of 0-0.
