August 23, 2023: Mebane, NC 27302 The Grimsley Whirlies volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the host Eastern Alamance Eagles to 0 in the Whirlies non-league victory on Wednesday.
The Whirlies now have a 3-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host McMichael for a non-league game on Thursday, August 24. Grimsley will confront a Phoenix team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Rockingham County (Wentworth, NC). The Phoenix record now stands at 3-1.
The Eagles (1-1) will now prepare for their game against Bartlett Yancey (Yanceyville, NC). The Buccaneers enter the non-league game with a 4-1 record. In their last game, Bartlett Yancey gained a win over Northwood (Pittsboro, NC), 2-0, in a non-league game.
