August 23, 2023: College Park, GA 30349 The crowd at Wednesday's non-league bout between the Griffin Bears (Griffin, GA) and the host Banneker Trojans (College Park, GA), saw Griffin's volleyball squad beat Banneker by a tally of 2-0.
With the win, Griffin upgrades its record to 1-6 on the year. The Bears host Upson-Lee (Thomaston, GA) to play the Knights in a non-league bout on Thursday, August 24. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 2-7. Upson-Lee lost 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Tattnall Square Academy (Macon, GA)
The Trojans now own a 2-3 record. They play next when they travel to Redan for a non-league bout on Thursday, August 24. Banneker will play a Raiders squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Stone Mountain (Stone Mountain, GA). The Raiders record now stands at 1-5.
