The Wilson Prep Tigers football squad scored 34 points and limited the host Ayden - Grifton Chargers to 28 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Friday.

The Tigers now hold a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Northampton County for a Tar Roanoke 1A test on Friday, September 6.

With the defeat, Ayden - Grifton drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Chargers host Martin County (Williamston, NC) to meet the Gators in a non-league test on Friday, August 30. The Gators come into the test with a record of 0-1. Martin County lost 34-32 in their recent non-league test against North Pitt (Bethel, NC)
