August 23, 2024: New Tazewell, TN 37825 Grainger Grizzlies (Rutledge, TN) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Claiborne Bulldogs (New Tazewell, TN), 21-7 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Grainger improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Grizzlies host Chuckey-Doak (Afton, TN) to play the Black Knights in a non-league battle on Friday, August 30. The Black Knights go into the battle with a record of 1-0. Chuckey-Doak won 71-46 in their recent non-league battle against Unaka (Elizabethton, TN)
The Bulldogs now have a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Union County for a non-league battle on Friday, August 30. Claiborne will play a Patriots team coming off a 37-8 non-league loss to Gibbs (Corryton, TN). The Patriots record now stands at 0-1.
