The Covington Trojans got by the host Tri-County Cavaliers football team by a score of 25-20 in Friday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Trojans play the South Newton Rebels (Kentland, IN) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, August 30. Covington will attempt to improve on its 1-0 season record. The Rebels go into the challenge with a 1-0 record after their 20-14 non-league win over Lake Station Edison (Lake Station, IN).
