Desert Heights Prep Yote (Glendale, AZ) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team tip the host Valley Union Blue Devils (Elfrida, AZ), 40-36 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Desert Heights Prep improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Yote travel to Desert Christian (Tucson, AZ) to play the Eagles in a non-league battle on Friday, August 30. The Eagles go into the battle with a record of 0-0.

The Blue Devils now have a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Baboquivari for a 1A South (8 Man) battle on Friday, September 6.
