The Dixie County Bears football team (Cross City, FL), was topped 38-12 in Friday's league bout with the host Lafayette Hornets (Mayo, FL)

With the win, Lafayette advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Hornets travel to Suwannee (Live Oak, FL) to encounter the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Friday, August 30. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 0-1. Suwannee lost 13-0 in their recent non-league bout against Columbia (Lake City, FL)
