The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Paraclete Spirits (Lancaster, CA) and the host Garces Memorial Rams (Bakersfield, CA), witnessed Paraclete's football squad topple Garces Memorial by a count of 42-21.

The Spirits (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Leuzinger (Lawndale, CA). The Olympians enter the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Leuzinger thwarted Kaiser (Fontana, CA), 62-0, in a non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Rams confront the Paso Robles Bearcats (Paso Robles, CA) in a non-league contest, on Friday, August 30. Garces Memorial will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Bearcats enter the contest with a 0-1 record after their 45-6 non-league loss to Kingsburg (Kingsburg, CA).
