The State College Little Lions (State College, PA) football trounced the host Gateway Gators (Monroeville, PA), 49-14 in Friday's non-league outing.

The Little Lions now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Altoona for a Mid-Penn - Commonwealth outing on Friday, August 30. State College will clash with a Mountain Lions squad coming off a 27-14 non-league loss to Hollidaysburg (Hollidaysburg, PA). The Mountain Lions record now stands at 0-1.
