Payson Lions (Payson, UT) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the host Hillcrest Huskies (Midvale, UT), 42-7 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Payson improves its record to 1-1 on the season. The Lions host Richfield (Richfield, UT) to play the Wildcats in a non-league battle on Friday, August 30. The Wildcats go into the battle with a record of 1-1. Richfield lost 26-0 in their recent non-league battle against West Field (Taylor, UT)

The Huskies now have a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to Hurricane for a non-league battle on Friday, August 30. Hillcrest will play a Tigers team coming off a 30-29 non-league loss to Moapa Valley (Overton, NV). The Tigers record now stands at 0-2.
