August 23, 2024: West Fargo, ND 58078 The Sheyenne Mustangs football squad scored 39 points and limited the visiting Williston Coyotes to 12 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Friday.
The Mustangs now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Northern Cass for a non-league test on Thursday, August 29. Sheyenne will clash with a Jaguars squad coming off a 24-14 non-league win over Heart River co-op [Belfield/South Heart] (Belfield, ND). The Jaguars record now stands at 1-0.
With the defeat, Williston drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Coyotes travel to Mandan (Mandan, ND) to clash with the Braves in a AAA - West test on Friday, August 30. The Braves come into the test with a record of 1-0. Mandan won 41-28 in their recent non-league test against Shanley/Oak Grove Lutheran (Fargo, ND)
