Led by their tough serving & swarming attack, the Los Angles Romans defeated the Lake Balboa College Prep Cougars 3 & out at LA. What the Cougar JV did in the first match is what the Roman Varsity did to the teal & black in the second. The Romans ripped the passing line for 30 aces. That's 40% of their points on the first touch. It's a 10 point head start every set. It was a 46.2% Reception Error Percentage for the followers of Freddy Cougar. Our offense hit negative (which should be no surprise when the passing is off), while the defense gamely kept up a faint pulse with 31 digs for the match. Oppo Molly Yeagley & fellow right side player setter Darla Wiltz turned back LA with 11 & 4 digs respectively. Defensive middle backs should lead the team on D not a player up cornerback.
