The crowd at Saturday's non-league contest between the Fort Meade Miners (Fort Meade, FL) and the host Hardee Wildcats (Wauchula, FL), witnessed Fort Meade's football squad knock off Hardee by a tally of 27-0.

The Miners (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against George Jenkins (Lakeland, FL). The Eagles go into the non-league bout with a 1-0 record. In their last bout, George Jenkins overcame Lake Region (Eagle Lake, FL), 28-20, in a non-league bout.

The Wildcats now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Frostproof for a Sunshine State - Atlantic Coast bout on Friday, August 29. Hardee will encounter a Bulldogs team coming off a 17-14 non-league win over Providence School (Jacksonville, FL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-0.
