Rio Linda Knights (Rio Linda, CA) followers went home in high spirits Saturday as they saw their flag football team achieve victory over the visiting Cordova Lancers (Rancho Cordova, CA), 26-6 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Rio Linda advances its record to 1-3 on the season. The Knights travel to St. Francis (Sacramento, CA) to play the Troubadours in a non-league battle on Saturday, August 23. The Troubadours go into the battle with a record of 2-0. St. Francis won 40-0 in their recent non-league battle against Rio Americano (Sacramento, CA)

The Lancers now own a 1-5 record. They play next when they travel to Pleasant Grove for a non-league battle on Saturday, August 23. Cordova will play a Eagles team coming off a 40-13 non-league win over Cordova (Rancho Cordova, CA). The Eagles record now stands at 1-0.
