August 23, 2025: Groton, SD 57445 Groton Tigers (Groton, SD) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the visiting St. Thomas More Cavaliers (Rapid City, SD), 4-1 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Groton moves its record to 4-0 on the campaign. The Tigers host Freeman Academy (Freeman, SD) to clash with the Bobcats in a test on Thursday, August 28. The Bobcats come into the test with a record of 2-1. Freeman Academy won 3-2 in their recent league test against West Central (Hartford, SD)
The Cavaliers now sport a 1-1 record. They play next when they host Custer for a non-league outing on Tuesday, August 26. St. Thomas More will confront a Wildcats squad coming off a 9-1 non-league loss to Belle Fourche (Belle Fourche, SD). The Wildcats record now stands at 0-3.
