Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Samson Tigers (Samson, AL) and the host Brantley Bulldogs (Brantley, AL), observed Samson's volleyball squad nudge Brantley by a score of 2-1.

With the win, Samson improves its record to 1-1 on the season. The Tigers travel to New Brockton (New Brockton, AL) to encounter the Gamecocks in a non-league battle on Saturday, August 23. The Gamecocks enter the contest with a record of 0-1. New Brockton lost 3-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Geneva (Geneva, AL)
