Melissa Cardinals (Melissa, TX) boosters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Clifton Cubs (Clifton, TX), 2-0 in a non-league test.

With the win, Melissa improves its record to 10-7 on the season. The Cardinals travel to Poteet (Mesquite, TX) to face the Pirates in a non-league test on Tuesday, August 26. The Pirates go into the test with a record of 12-8. Poteet lost 2-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Van Alstyne (Van Alstyne, TX)

Next, the Cubs meet the Robinson Rockets (Robinson, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, August 26. Clifton will attempt to upgrade on its 16-4 season record. The Rockets come into the challenge with a 12-5 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Sunnyvale (Sunnyvale, TX).
