The Dawson Eagles edged the host College Park Cavaliers volleyball squad by a final score of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league game.

Next up, the Eagles confront the Dobie Longhorns (Houston, TX) in a 6A Region III District 22 outing, on Tuesday, August 26. Dawson will attempt to better on its 13-1 season record. The Longhorns come into the outing with a 1-4 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Fort Bend Elkins (Missouri City, TX).

With the loss, College Park drops to 10-5 on the campaign. The Cavaliers travel to Kingwood (Kingwood, TX) to play the Mustangs in a non-league outing on Saturday, August 23.
