John Paul II Cardinals (Plano, TX) backers were pleased Saturday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the host The Colony Cougars (The Colony, TX), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Cardinals (10-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Emerson (McKinney, TX). The Mavericks come into the non-league challenge with a 2-6 record.

Next, the Cougars meet the Memorial Warriors (Frisco, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, August 26. The Colony will attempt to upgrade on its 4-9 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 10-6 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Lone Star (Frisco, TX).
