Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the University Hawks (Morgantown, WV) and the host Spring Mills Cardinals (Martinsburg, WV), observed University's volleyball team hold off Spring Mills by a tally of 2-1.

With the win, University improves its record to 2-2 on the season. The Hawks travel to Herbert Hoover (Elkview, WV) to encounter the Huskies in a non-league test on Saturday, August 23. The Huskies go into the test with a record of 0-0.

The Cardinals now own a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Varsity Opponent for a non-league challenge on Saturday, August 23. Spring Mills will meet a team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Faith Christian Academy (Goldsboro, NC). The record now stands at 23-70.
