The Mt. Vernon Wildcats (Mt. Vernon, IN) volleyball overcame the visiting Evansville Central Bears (Evansville, IN), 3-0 in Wednesday's non-league outing.

With the win, Mt. Vernon upgrades its record to 4-2 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Boonville (Boonville, IN) to face the Pioneers in a Pocket outing on Tuesday, August 30. The Pioneers go into the outing with a record of 2-3. Boonville lost 3-2 in their recent league outing against Southridge (Huntingburg, IN)

The Bears now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they host Vincennes Lincoln for a Southern Indiana outing on Thursday, August 25. Evansville Central will face a Alices squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Castle (Newburgh, IN). The Alices record now stands at 2-5.
