The Whale Branch Warriors (Beaufort, SC) football routed the host North Charleston Cougars (North Charleston, SC), 46-6 in Thursday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Warriors clash with the Ridgeland-Hardeeville Jaguars (Ridgeland, SC) in a non-league game, on Friday, September 1. Whale Branch will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record. The Jaguars come into the game with a 2-0 record after their 33-31 non-league win over Battery Creek (Beaufort, SC).

The Cougars now hold a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Baptist Hill for a non-league game on Friday, September 1. North Charleston will battle a Bobcats team coming off a 44-8 league win over St. John's (John's Island, SC). The Bobcats record now stands at 1-1.
