August 24, 2023: Athens, TN 37303 The crowd at Thursday's non-league test between the Chattanooga Christian Chargers (Chattanooga, TN) and the host McMinn County Cherokees (Athens, TN), saw Chattanooga Christian's soccer squad triumph over McMinn County by a margin of 6-0.
The Chargers now sport a 5-0 record. They play next when they travel to Franklin County for a non-league test on Tuesday, August 29. Chattanooga Christian will meet a Rebels squad coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Conner (Hebron, KY). The Rebels record now stands at 5-2.
With the loss, McMinn County drops to 1-3 on the season. The Cherokees travel to Walker Valley (Cleveland, TN) to meet the Mustangs in a AAA District 5 test on Tuesday, August 29. The Mustangs come into the test with a record of 3-3. Walker Valley won 2-0 in their recent non-league test against St. Mary's Episcopal (Memphis, TN)
