The Wilkes Central Eagles football team (Wilkesboro, NC), was beaten 20-8 in Thursday's non-league challenge with the host Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC)

The Cougars (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against North Iredell (Olin, NC). The Raiders come into the non-league challenge with a 0-2 record. In their last challenge, North Iredell was beaten by Starmount (Boonville, NC), 32-6, in a non-league challenge.
