The Burroughs Bears held off the visiting Taft Toreadors volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Bears now have a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host South Hills for a non-league test on Wednesday, August 30.

The Toreadors (1-1) will now prepare for their test against Hamilton (Los Angeles, CA). The Yankees enter the non-league test with a 0-2 record. In their last test, Hamilton was nudged by Marquez (Huntington Park, CA), 2-0, in a non-league test.
