Oklahoma High School Softball - Smithville bounces Hugo
August 24, 2023: Hugo, OK 74743 Smithville Braves (Smithville, OK) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Hugo Buffaloes (Hugo, OK), 8-0 in a non-league challenge.
The Braves now sport a 12-4 record. They take the field next when they host Battiest for a non-league challenge on Friday, August 25. Smithville will face a Panthers squad coming off a 10-5 non-league loss to Haworth (Haworth, OK). The Panthers record now stands at 1-3.
With the loss, Hugo falls to 2-17 on the campaign. The Buffaloes travel to Idabel (Idabel, OK) to face the Warriors in a 3A challenge on Monday, August 28. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 8-5. Idabel won 8-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Silo (Silo, OK)
