August 24, 2023: Vian, OK 74962 Spectators at Thursday's league match between the Verdigris Cardinals (Claremore, OK) and the host Vian Wolverines (Vian, OK), witnessed Verdigris's softball squad prevail over Vian by a count of 8-0.
The Cardinals now sport a 10-2 record. They play next when they host Kansas for a 3A match on Thursday, August 24. Verdigris will face a Comets squad coming off a 6-0 league win over Westville (Westville, OK). The Comets record now stands at 11-10.
With the loss, Vian moves to 10-10 on the season. The Wolverines travel to Quapaw (Quapaw, OK) to face the Wildcats in a non-league match on Thursday, August 24. The Wildcats go into the match with a record of 8-8. Quapaw won 11-3 in their recent non-league match against Foyil (Foyil, OK)
