August 23, 2023: Columbus, GA 31907 The Kendrick Cherokees volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the visiting Coretta Scott King YWLA Soaring Eagle to 1 in the Cherokees non-league victory on Wednesday.
The Cherokees now have a 4-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mitchell County for a non-league game on Tuesday, August 29. Kendrick will confront a Eagles team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Highland Christian Academy (Valdosta, GA). The Eagles record now stands at 1-3.
The Soaring Eagle (0-2) will now prepare for their game against Lithia Springs (Lithia Springs, GA). The Lions enter the non-league game with a 1-1 record. In their last game, Lithia Springs was nudged by Mundy's Mill (Jonesboro, GA), 2-0, in a non-league game.
