In Thursday's non-league contest, the Sutherland Sailors (Sutherland, NE) volleyball squad were winner over the visiting Creek Valley Storm (Chappell, NE), by a margin of 2-0.

Next up, the Sailors battle the Paxton Tigers (Paxton, NE) in a D2 District 9 contest, on Tuesday, August 29. Sutherland will attempt to better on its 2-0 season record. The Tigers go into the contest with a 2-0 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Sandhills Valley (Stapleton, NE).

With the loss, Creek Valley moves to 0-2 on the year. The Storm travel to Perkins County (Grant, NE) to battle the Plainsmen in a non-league contest on Thursday, August 24. The Plainsmen go into the contest with a record of 0-0.
