In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Capistrano Valley Christian Eagles volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Newbury Park Panthers.

The Eagles (8-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Dana Hills (Dana Point, CA). The Dolphins come into the non-league challenge with a 3-2 record.

Next, the Panthers meet the Ventura Cougars (Ventura, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, August 27. Newbury Park will attempt to upgrade on its 5-2 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 1-2 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Camarillo (Camarillo, CA).
