The Bangor Vikings (Bangor, MI) football edged the host Lake Michigan Catholic Lakers (St. Joseph, MI), 34-30 in Thursday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Vikings face the Vandercook Lake Jayhawks (Jackson, MI) in a non-league bout, on Friday, September 2. Bangor will attempt to advance on its 1-0 season record.
