In Thursday's non-league match, the visiting Bishop Foley Ventures football squad scored a big 57-12 victory over the Pontiac Phoenix.

In their next game, the Ventures clash with the Pershing Doughboys (Detroit, MI) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 2. Bishop Foley will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record. The Doughboys enter the match with a 1-0 record after their 28-0 non-league win over Detroit Community (Detroit, MI).

The Phoenix (0-1) will now prepare for their match against Mt. Clemens (Mt. Clemens, MI). The Battling Bathers enter the non-league match with a 0-1 record. In their last match, Mt. Clemens was crushed by Lincoln (Warren, MI), 36-6, in a non-league match.
