August 25, 2022: Detroit, MI 48202 Western International Cowboys (Detroit, MI) boosters exited the stadium pleased Thursday as they saw their football team top the host Douglass Hurricanes (Detroit, MI), 17-6 in a non-league challenge.
The Cowboys (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Central (Detroit, MI). The Trail Blazers come into the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Central knocked off Edison Academy (Detroit, MI), 25-7, in a non-league challenge.
The Hurricanes now sport a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they host Detroit Leadership Academy for a non-league challenge on Saturday, September 3. Douglass will meet a team coming off a 36-20 non-league win over Robichaud (Dearborn Heights, MI). The record now stands at 1-0.
