August 25, 2023: Avoca, IA In Friday's non-league game, the AHSTW Vikings (Avoca, IA) football team smashed the visiting Tri-Center Trojans (Neola, IA), by a final score of 64-27.
The Vikings (1-0) will now prepare for their game against Riverside (Oakland, IA). The Bulldogs come into the non-league game with a 1-0 record. In their last game, Riverside overwhelmed West Monona (Onawa, IA), 40-0, in a non-league game.
The Trojans now hold a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they host Treynor for a non-league game on Friday, September 1. Tri-Center will battle a Cardinals team coming off a 41-0 non-league win over St. Albert (Council Bluffs, IA). The Cardinals record now stands at 1-0.
