In Friday's league match, the host Middletown Middies football squad scored a good 20-3 victory over the Colerain Cardinals.

In their next game, the Middies clash with the Sycamore Aviators (Cincinnati, OH) in a Greater Miami match, on Friday, September 1. Middletown will attempt to move on its 2-0 season record. The Aviators enter the match with a 1-1 record after their 24-21 league win over Fairfield (Fairfield, OH).

The Cardinals (0-2) will now prepare for their match against Oak Hills (Cincinnati, OH). The Highlanders enter the Greater Miami match with a 0-2 record. In their last match, Oak Hills was toppled by Mason (Mason, OH), 24-14, in a league match.
